FOSBR (Friends of Suburban Bristol Railways) and our allies call on the DfT» (Department for Transport - about), WECA» (West of England Combined Authority - about), GWR (Great Western Railway) and other decision makers to ensure that, with four tracks now in place on Filton Bank, progress is made towards a half-hourly service to all West of England local stations, starting with the Severn Beach Line (MetroWest Phase 1a), from the December 2019 timetable, at the latest by May 2020.

It makes sense for stations within the Bristol / Bath travel to work area to have two trains per hour calling; less frequent services seriously put people off using the trains.

But, oh dear ... I'm not sure how long this particular petition has been running or how strongly promoted it is. It's been raised to my attention during the night, thus the post.  I hope that limited numbers signing does not provide ammunition for someone to falsely draw a conclusion that the idea has limited support - a risk with any petition
