I have replaced the "GWR (Great Western Railway) Site" link at the top of every page with a pop-up / tool-tip menu that lets you jump to any of the TOCs (Train Operating Company) that operate scheduled passenger trains on Network Rail lines across our area.  If you just click on "Train Companies", you go to a page that lists them all out with full names and a summary of their operations.

Please let me know of any issues.

Once I have an assurance this is working, I'll be adding further tool-tip links to provide more quick navigation without taking up more screen space.

OK - I will take a look.  That's the sort of report I need.

OK - that relates to the style chosen.  On a yellow base, main text pop ups now in black and links in blue

Yes - that makes sense. Done.

I have added another dropdown / tool on "Train Running" to list trains cancelled, short running and delayed.

Very much a summary - need to check that it works for a time, and deal with various extremes; I may then be able to add a further roll over to give individual train full data.

I will get Lisa to have play on her iPad as a first step, to see if I can reproduce this.  Might involve some more back and forth, testing, explanation, etc - not totally clear that I understand what the difference looks like, though I understand that it has made a significant difference.

OK - problem reproduced and confirmed to be something to do with the new code.   Having reproduced it, I can now fix - taking a look overnight as I have lots on today and don't want to do it while the forum's busy.

I think that is now fixed and hopefully without any other "funnies" being introduced.  Really a work-around for the iPad - looks like there's an "undocumented / unintended feature" on there relating to setting of the width of popup menus.

In curing this, I have also fixed popups for everyone else too so that they are resized to fit the content. Means that train changes between stations with long names no longer fold (was an issue, for example, with London Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street)

As of 07:50 this morning I have been mucking about with the pulldowns ... should probably have flagged that up ahead of time.  Should be back as was now.  Sorry about that.

Edit to add ... I am working on further tooltips ... rolling over "train running" now gives you a summary; rolling over "polls" gives you all polls open, or completed over the last five days.  Intent (where I have to fix for iPad) is that rolling over a BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) story headline will give you the management summary for that story, for example:

iPad display testing - I only have limited iPad access but the recurrence of the issue did take me by surprise and I'll test further / better on that device when I make further changes.
