THIS 545-ACRE MULTI-PURPOSE SITE IS HOME TO THE SCIENCE MUSEUM GROUP COLLECTION
Our behind-the-scenes tours give visitors the chance to discover incredible historic objects in their home here at the Science and Innovation Park in Wiltshire.
Led by an expert tour guide through this vast facility, you’ll encounter hundreds of objects each with a story to tell, from objects that explored the stratosphere to machines that plumbed the depths of our oceans. On the tour you will see huge icons of transport including a Sno-Cat used in the first motorised crossing of Antarctica, right through to an ice cream tricycle that helped win the Second World War.

I make that near the No. 49 bus route (Stagecoach) from Fleming Way, Swindon via Devizes to Trowbridge.
Happy memories of seeing the "Science Museum Store" there. My understanding is that this is a guided tour through a single modern building, with the old aircraft hangars not now accessible due to concerns including asbestos issues.

It is - bus stop is right by the driveway. Not that the stops are announced on Stagecoach West (yet) but it is helpfully called Wroughton Science Museum.

I manged to get some tickets for this place shortly after it opened.............absolutely breathtaking .............and that is just the building !! Well, well worth a visit.
I believe that some of the road vehicles that were stored in the old aircraft hangars are now in the new building, but the wonderful old aircraft collection is going to have a long wait for a building to house them too.

There is something "odd" with that photo/link. Originally I posted the link to the photo, but it came up, confusingly, as the home page of the aviationmuseum.eu. Then it came up with the photo on the second try - so I posted just the photo, with the website address solely as an attribution.
